I was skeptical about cuffs feeling cheap, but the velcro actually holds tight without cutting off circulation. My partner and I used them for the first time last weekend and the faux fur kept her wrists comfortable the whole time.
The faux fur lining is genuinely soft, no scratchiness at all, which made trying these for the first time way less intimidating. My only gripe is the release mechanism takes a second to figure out when you're in a hurry.
